President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi Announces the Cancelation of the State of Emergency

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi announced in a statement today Monday 25th October 2021 that he will not extend the state of emergency that had been imposed across the country for more than four years.

“I’m happy to share this moment with the great people of Egypt, this moment we all sought and strived for through hard work and loyalty, an oasis of security and stability in the region. Thus, and for the first time in many years, I have decided to cancel the State of Emergency” President El-Sisi said in the statement.

The President added: “This decision, was truly made by the Egyptian people over the past years, through the people’s honest contribution in all development and construction efforts.
